چکیده

We provide an open access dataset of High densitY Surface Electromyogram (HD-sEMG) Recordings (named “Hyser”), a toolbox for neural interface research, and benchmark results pattern recognition EMG-force applications. Data from 20 subjects were acquired twice per subject on different days following the same experimental paradigm. 256-channel HD-sEMG forearm muscles during dexterous finger manipulations. This Hyser contains five sub-datasets as: (1) (PR) 34 commonly used hand gestures, (2) maximal voluntary muscle contraction (MVC) while contracted each individual finger, (3) one-degree freedom (DoF) force-varying (4) N-DoF prescribed contractions combinations multiple fingers, (5) random task fingers without any force trajectory. Dataset 1 can be gesture studies. Datasets 2-5 also recorded forces, thus studies proportional control neuroprostheses. Our to: analyze datasets using standard methods decompose signals into motor unit action potentials via independent component analysis. expect our dataset, analyses unique platform to promote wide range research collaboration among rehabilitation engineers.

Estimating motor unit discharge patterns from high-density surface electromyogram.

OBJECTIVE We systematically tested the capability of the Convolution Kernel Compensation (CKC) method to identify motor unit (MU) discharge patterns from the simulated and experimental surface electromyogram (sEMG) during low-force contractions. METHODS sEMG was detected with a grid of 13 x 5 electrodes. In simulated signals with 20 dB signal-to-noise ratio, 11+/-3 out of 63 concurrently acti...

Adaptive signal processing of surface electromyogram signals

Electromyography is the study of muscle function through the electrical signals from the muscles. In surface electromyography the electrical signal is detected on the skin. The signal arises from ion exchanges across the muscle fibres’ membranes. The ion exchange in a motor unit, which is the smallest unit of excitation, produces a waveform that is called an action potential (AP). When a sustai...

Real time identification of active regions in muscles from high density surface electromyogram

PURPOSE Developing a real time method for the localization of muscle activity regions from high density surface electromyogram (EMG). METHOD The inverse problem of source localization is solved by a regularized technique applied to an over-determined problem searching for the least mean squares approximation of the recorded signal with a linear combination of a set of basis waveforms (subject...

Benchmark on High Density Aerial Image Matching

Benchmarks have proven to be extremely useful to document the progress of software tools for image based 3D data capture. Well known examples which measure the performance of state-of-the-art matching algorithms are the Middlebury Stereo Vision Page or the benchmark on Multi-view Stereo Reconstruction. Similarly, the joint EuroSDR/ISPRS initiative Benchmark on High Density Image Matching for DS...
